The coffee table should be suitable to your living style. If you rarely use it, possibly only to serve your guest a cup of coffee, choose a small, simple table. If it is likely to get used as a place for your favourite magazines, flower vase, bowl, etc., then go for a spacious table with drawers. To show off decorative accessories (shells, stones, photos, etc..) choose a table by the window. For a small space, choose the set of two or three tables of different sizes, which usually is stored underneath one another, and occasionally, when the situation requires, all three tables can be used.
Aside from wood, metal coffee tables are all the rage nowadays. Just like the wood, metal tables are sturdy and lightweight. The legs of a metal table are thinner than the top. Moreover, the legs are made into different weird shapes for style. Since metal is strong, the table provide better support than wood.
Imagine some cobble stoned alley in Zurich, a small open café, a small table and two cups of Mocha. What else do you need but good company? It also helps that coffee is much more affordable and you don't need to wait till sun down to enjoy some romantic time over a coffee. After all, romance often happens at an early age and a romantic candle light dinner is not feasible always. Rather meeting over a cup of coffee and talking over the tiny table becomes the better option.
